Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, has shrugged off criticism over his decision to build houses for judges and justices in the FCT.
While inspecting the ongoing construction of Judges Quarters and access road in Abuja on Friday, Wike expressed his indifference to the criticism, stating that he has provisional approval and the backing of the National Assembly.
Bsgistnews.com learnt that the criticism stems from the inauguration of 40 housing units for judicial officers, which some Nigerians perceive as an attempt to influence the judiciary.
However, Wike remains unfazed, arguing that his critics are individuals who cannot achieve anything themselves.
He emphasized that providing a conducive environment for judges and justices to work is essential, and that is precisely what his administration is doing.

Wike attributed his motivation to work harder to the appreciation shown by residents for the government’s efforts.
He highlighted the FCT Administration’s simultaneous execution of multiple projects in the city centre and satellite towns, made possible by teamwork and support from President Bola Tinubu.
The minister also expressed satisfaction with the pace of the projects and commended the contractors for maintaining high standards.
Furthermore, Nyesom Wike emphasized that job creation is a top priority for the Tinubu administration, with thousands of youths already employed by companies working on various projects across the FCT.
