Jeju Air Flight 2216 fatal crash which claimed the lives of 179 people on Sunday, has led to intensified investigation by South Korean authorities.
As part of their probe, police raided the offices of Jeju Air and the operator of Muan International Airport on Thursday.
The search and seizure operations were conducted at three locations, including Muan Airport, where the Boeing 737-800 plane crash-landed and burst into flames.
Investigators from South Korea and the United States, along with experts from Boeing, have been scouring the crash site to determine the cause of the disaster.
Both black boxes from the Jeju Air aircraft have been recovered, and decoding work is currently underway.
The police have assured that they will swiftly and rigorously determine the cause and responsibility for the accident, in accordance with the law and principles.
The tragic incident occurred when Flight 2216, carrying 181 people from Thailand to South Korea, issued a mayday call before belly-landing and crashing into a barrier.
Only two flight attendants survived the crash, and were pulled from the burning wreckage.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to piece together the events leading up to the fatal crash.
