Babafemi Ojudu, a former special adviser to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has launched a scathing attack on Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State.
Babafemi Ojudu claims Fayose lacks honor and, surprisingly, can’t even spell the word “politics.”
This shocking revelation came to light when Ojudu recounted his victory over Fayose in the 2011 senatorial election in Ekiti State.
Despite Fayose’s significant financial backing, Babafemi Ojudu emerged victorious with 68,000 votes, while Fayose trailed behind with 28,000 votes.
Ojudu attributes Fayose’s later rise to governorship to his alleged engagement in vote-buying, taking advantage of the poverty-stricken state of Ekiti.
He recalls a debate during the election campaign where Fayose wore a tee-shirt with the inscription “Politics is Serious Business,” but with the word “politics” misspelled.
Babafemi Ojudu seized the opportunity to expose Fayose’s apparent lack of education, saying, “I don’t know what to tell my 13-year-old daughter… that the man who was my governor… does not know how to spell politics.”
The former presidential aide questioned whether Nigeria should continue to have “illiterates in power.”
It’s worth noting that Ojudu has a history with Fayose, having allegedly plotted and scripted Fayose’s impeachment with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
