Ruth’s passing is even more tragic because of the terrible circumstances she faced before her death. She was a young woman full of dreams and hope for the future. Just a few days after graduating from Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, Ruth was involved in a horrific accident caused by a Dangote truck. The truck, shockingly, was being driven by an underage and unlicensed driver, which shows a serious case of negligence.
The accident changed Ruth’s life completely. She suffered severe injuries that led to the amputation of her left leg, and doctors feared that she might also lose her right leg. These injuries brought not only physical pain but also emotional and mental trauma for her and her family.
Adding to the tragedy, Ruth was a young mother still breastfeeding her baby. After the accident, she struggled with her health, her recovery, and the challenge of taking care of her little child. Despite all of this, Phyna stood strongly by her sister’s side, constantly fighting for justice, proper medical treatment, and accountability. She openly criticized the Dangote Group for their slow and inadequate response, insisting they take full responsibility for the negligence that caused Ruth’s suffering.
Sadly, despite all the struggles and the love shown to her, Ruth has now left this world. Her story is a painful reminder of how negligence and lack of responsibility can destroy lives and leave families broken.
