The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially released the results of its recently concluded Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. Candidates who took part in the screening can now check their scores by logging into their personal portal pages on the UNIBEN website.
This announcement was made on Tuesday by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Benedicta Ehanire, in a statement shared with the News Agency of Nigeria in Benin City.
Mrs. Ehanire also gave an important clarification regarding the admission status currently showing on many candidates’ portal pages. She explained that some candidates might see the words “NOT ADMITTED” on their result slips. However, she stressed that this message should be ignored for now because the actual admission process has only just started.
According to her, the process of admitting students for the new academic session has officially begun and will continue until October 31, following the timeline provided by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
She went on to explain that any candidate who scored 50 percent or more in the screening test will be considered for admission. However, meeting this cut-off score does not automatically guarantee admission, as all candidates must also meet the specific admission guidelines and requirements recommended for their chosen courses of study.
The PRO further assured students and parents that more detailed information about how the admission process will be carried out will be released soon. She encouraged candidates to remain calm, keep checking the UNIBEN portal regularly, and follow official updates only.
In summary, while the results are already available online, the final admission list has not been released yet, and all qualified candidates still have a chance of being admitted before the process closes at the end ofA October.
