Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has described marriage as the strongest form of partnership in life.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola wrote:
“Call me old-fashioned, but I consider marriage the most powerful partnership anyone can enter into, perhaps even the most important contract, with God as the witness.”
Cuppy said her younger sister Temi Otedola’s recent wedding reinforced her belief that marriage remains significant and timeless. “With the right partner, marriage brings you closer to purpose and helps build love, family, and legacy,” she added.
Her comments came shortly after Temi released official photos from her wedding to Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, widely known as Mr Eazi.
The couple celebrated their union with three ceremonies across different countries. Their journey began on May 9 in Monaco, a symbolic date chosen to honor Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday. This was followed by a traditional Yoruba wedding held at the Otedola residence in Dubai. The festivities concluded in August with a private white wedding in Iceland.
Temi and Mr Eazi first announced their engagement in April 2022, when Temi shared a video of the proposal on Instagram. At the time, they hinted at a low-key celebration, a promise they kept through their series of intimate but memorable ceremonies.
