President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles for their impressive 4–0 victory over the Cheetahs of Benin Republic, commending the team for rekindling national pride and keeping Nigeria’s hopes alive in the race for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.
In a statement issued after the match in Uyo, the President lauded the players’ hunger, passion, and determination, describing their performance as a reflection of the nation’s resilient spirit.
“While the mission is not yet accomplished, I join millions of Nigerian football fans in celebrating this outstanding victory and wishing our team continued success in the playoffs,” Tinubu said.
