American missionary and activist Mike Arnold has leveled serious allegations against Nigerian commentator Reno Omokri, describing him as a “habitual liar and manipulator.”
In a lengthy post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Arnold claimed he had personally witnessed Omokri’s alleged deceptive behavior during their encounters in Kenya, Texas, and Abuja.
According to him, Omokri’s charm hides what he called a “cold, calculating, and soulless” personality.
BSGISTNEWS gathered that Arnold alleged that Omokri once posted a video showcasing luxury cars that he falsely claimed as his own, vehicles that actually belonged to a friend of Arnold. He further accused Omokri of making false promises about arranging meetings with top Nigerian figures, including President Bola Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and the Sultan of Sokoto, none of which materialised.
He also claimed Omokri fabricated stories about his (Arnold’s) identity, falsely portraying him as the mayor of Blanco, Texas, a Republican politician, and a close ally of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz; all of which Arnold denied.
Arnold said Omokri’s actions were driven by a desire to build false credibility and influence in both Nigeria and abroad.
In his words:
“Reno doesn’t lie like most liars. He lies calm, cool, constant. Up close, he’s reptilian; chilling, soulless, yet so charming.”
Arnold accused Omokri of exploiting humanitarian causes for self-promotion and spreading misinformation about Nigeria’s religious crisis.
He also alleged that Omokri misrepresented their joint efforts on a “fact-finding mission,” taking credit for projects Arnold had personally funded and led for six years.
Quoting Psalm 101:7, Arnold said his decision to speak out was not out of bitterness but “for accountability.”
He concluded by calling Omokri a “pathological, habitual, calculating liar,” accusing him of denying atrocities and deceiving the public for personal gain.
Omokri has yet to publicly respond to the allegations as of the time of this report.
