The once-celebrated marriage between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko has spiraled into a storm of accusations and counterclaims, dominating headlines and social media discussions.
What began as a fairy-tale union in 2019 has now turned into a public feud, with both parties trading explosive allegations that suggest the relationship may be nearing collapse.
In the latest development, Senator Nwoko alleged that he gave ₦125 million to Regina’s mother over the past two years, in response to reports that Regina accused him of neglecting her family.
According to Nwoko, the marital crisis was triggered by Regina’s alleged drug and alcohol use, which he claimed resulted in violent behavior and property damage. He accused her of attacking three staff members within 48 hours and relocating to a residence with “unrestricted access to drugs.”
He stated that he had offered her rehabilitation options in Abuja and abroad, denying all accusations of domestic violence.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here,” Nwoko asserted.
However, Regina Daniels has strongly refuted the allegations.
In an emotional video, she acknowledged that her family was “in turmoil,” insisting she married for love, not money. She accused Nwoko of using his political influence to have her siblings arrested in an attempt to pressure her into returning to rehab, expressing fear that her youngest sister could be next.
Regina vowed to protect her children and mother, urging the public to stop insulting her family and to respect their privacy.
The controversy has ignited intense debate online, splitting public opinion between supporters of Regina and Nwoko. Viral videos, leaked chats, and press statements from both camps continue to fuel speculation about what truly went wrong.
As Nwoko emphasizes rehabilitation and restraint, and Regina demands freedom and justice, the couple’s future remains uncertain.
Once hailed as one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions, the relationship has now become a public courtroom drama with love, power, and reputation all at stake.
