Bandits have reportedly kidnapped four rice farmers in Bokungi village, Edu LGA of Kwara State, barely 24 hours after a deadly attack on Eruku town.
The latest incident occurred on Wednesday evening between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm while the farmers were working on their farmlands.
This comes a day after bandits stormed the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke Isegun, in Eruku community, a border town between Kwara and Kogi in Ekiti LGA killing worshippers and abducting several others.
A video from the church’s live-stream captured the moment congregants were holding a service before sudden bursts of gunfire erupted around the premises.
Residents say the back-to-back attacks have heightened fear in the area, as communities remain on edge over the growing insecurity.
