Simon Ekpa, the self- acclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in-Exile (BRGIE) and four others have been arrested and remanded in Finland over alleged terr*rist -related activities. Â
In a local news report published on Thursday on their website, the police said that the main suspect, Simon Ekpa was arrested on suspicion of publicly inciting people to commit crimes with terr*rist intent while the other four were arrested for financing a terr*rist crime
The police report obtained by Bsgistnews.com further stated Simon Ekpa promoted his efforts from Finland by several means that have incited the violence against civilians and authorities as well as other crimes in the Southern-Eastern Region of Nigeria.
The alleged offence was said to have occurred since August 23, 2021 in Lahti.
The statement also quoted the head of the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Otto Hiltunen from the Central Crime Police who also stated that Mr Ekpa had carried out this activity, among other things on his social media channels
Implications for Simon Ekpa;
All the five suspects including Simon Ekpa were arrested earlier this week and the claims would be heard at the Päijät-Häme district court today being the 21st of November, 2024.
