Bandits in a brazen attack in the Libere community of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has left four farmers abducted and an entire community in a state of panic.
The incident occurred on Thursday at around 12 pm while the farmers were harvesting their crops.
Aminu Khalid, the Dokan Karji youth leader, confirmed the abduction by the bandits to Bsgistnews.com, expressing deep concern over the escalating violence in the region.
“These bandits have continued to occupy more villages in our local government area unchallenged, causing a lot of havoc to the various communities,” Khalid lamented.
The abduction has sparked widespread fear, with residents deserting their villages in search of safety.
This latest incident is part of a larger pattern of violence in the region, with bandits recently over-running 14 villages, including Libere, in a previous attack.
Khalid has called for immediate military intervention to restore normalcy in the area and ensure the safe release of the abducted farmers.
The identities of those abducted have been confirmed as Pheobe Adauji, Cecilia Moses, Tambaya, and his wife.
