Dangote refinery in a move aimed at appreciating the support of Nigerians and complementing government efforts to promote domestic enterprise, has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for marketers to N970 per litre.
This development was announced by Anthony Chiejina, spokesperson for the Dangote Group, in a statement released on Sunday.
The price reduction, which represents a N20 decrease from the previous price of N990 per litre, is a significant step towards making petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians.
This move is particularly noteworthy, given that fuel is currently sold at filling stations across the country for between N1060 and N1,115 per litre.
Impact of Dangote Refinery Price Reduction;
According to Chiejina, the price reduction is a gesture of appreciation for the support of Nigerians and the government in making the Dangote Refinery a reality.
The company has reassured the public that it will not compromise on the quality and standard of its products, which are designed to be environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Furthermore, Dangote Refinery has expressed its commitment to ramping up production to meet and surpass domestic fuel consumption, thereby alleviating concerns about potential shortages in supply.
This development comes on the heels of an agreement between the refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria for direct fuel purchase.
