Chief David Edevbie was born on December 23, 1963, in London, to a family rooted in Ughelli North, Delta State. He attended Igbobi College, Lagos (Ordinary Levels) and Federal Government College, Odogbolu (Advanced Levels).
In 1985, he earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from the University of Lagos, followed by an MBA in International Corporate Finance from Cardiff Business School, UK (1988). In 2003, he completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
