Travis Renee Baldwin, a well-known hair and makeup artist who worked in television for many years, has sadly lost her life in a shocking tragedy. Reports say that Baldwin, who was 57 years old, was shot and killed by her own son on Sunday, August 17, inside her apartment in Arlington, Virginia, near Washington, DC.
According to police, the incident happened just before 8:30 a.m. that morning. Baldwin’s 27-year-old son, Logan Chrisinger, is accused of shooting her during an argument or confrontation. After the shooting, emergency responders rushed Baldwin to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, she could not survive her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Authorities confirmed that Chrisinger did not flee the scene after the shooting. Instead, he stayed at the apartment until police arrived. He was arrested on the spot and has since been taken to the Arlington County Detention Facility, where he is being held without the option of bail as investigations continue.
Baldwin was deeply respected and admired in the television industry. She had spent many years working as a professional hair and makeup artist for major networks and shows. Most recently, she was part of the team at Newsmax, where she worked closely with anchors and hosts, including well-known television personality Greta Van Susteren.
Van Susteren, clearly heartbroken by the news, shared her grief on social media. She explained that Baldwin had been her makeup artist for over three years at Newsmax and had also worked with her during her years at ABC and ESPN. She wrote that Baldwin was not only skilled at her job but also a trusted friend to her colleagues. Van Susteren recalled that Baldwin had even done her makeup on Friday, just two days before the tragic event, never imagining it would be the last time she saw her.
Other colleagues also paid tribute to Baldwin. Marisela Ramirez, a White House producer at Newsmax, described her as “Heaven’s newest angel.” In an emotional post, Ramirez highlighted Baldwin’s kind and generous nature, saying she had a giving heart and a free spirit. She explained that Baldwin quietly carried heavy responsibilities, supporting her family and managing her household without ever complaining.
Ramirez also shared warm memories of Baldwin’s personal touch, explaining that while styling clients’ hair, Baldwin often listened to their personal struggles and offered comfort like a caring mother. She was remembered as someone who not only made people look good but also made them feel understood and supported.
The sudden and tragic death of Travis Renee Baldwin has left her family, friends, and colleagues devastated. She will be remembered not just for her professional talent, but also for her warmth, compassion, and the way she touched the lives of those around her.
