The Lagos State Government has reopened its Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) recruitment portal to accept applications for entry-level teaching jobs (GL 08) in public secondary schools across the state.
According to TESCOM’s public notice, the portal opened on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, and will close on Monday, July 14, 2025, giving applicants a two-week window to apply.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must possess a degree in Education or other acceptable academic qualifications, such as:
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
- B.Ed, B.Sc(Ed), B.A(Ed) in relevant subjects
- B.A, B.Sc, B.Eng, B.Tech
- HND + Technical Teachers Certificate (TTC)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) – an added advantage
Note: Only holders of original certificates will be accepted. Statements of result or notification slips are not valid.
Mandatory Documents
- O’Level certificate (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
- Degree certificate
- NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion certificate

- Create an account with a valid email address
- Browse available job roles and choose your preferred teaching subject
- Upload required documents (ensure clarity)
- Click “Apply” to submit
- Print your confirmation slip for reference during screening
