Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt the Hollywood power couple have finally reached a divorce settlement after a protracted and acrimonious eight-year legal battle.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt formally signed off on the divorce paperwork on December 30, marking a significant milestone in their lengthy and complex separation process.
Although the divorce settlement brings closure to a significant chapter in the lives of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the couple’s dispute over the ownership of a French chateau, Château Miraval, remains unresolved.
The estate, which served as their wedding venue in 2014, has been a point of contention throughout their divorce proceedings.
Angelina Jolie’s divorce lawyer, James Simon, revealed that Jolie is relieved to have reached a settlement, stating, “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted… She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”
Jolie initially filed for divorce in September 2016, just two years after marrying Pitt in a private ceremony at Château Miraval.
The couple had been together for over a decade prior to their marriage, and their divorce proceedings have been marked by a series of complex and contentious disputes.
