NLC (Nigeria Labour Congress) Yobe State Council, has issued a stern warning to its members and the general public to disregard a fake strike notice circulating online.
According to the State NLC Chairman, Muktari Musa Tarbutu, the notice is entirely baseless and did not originate from the State Council.
The fake notice had called for an indefinite strike action, causing unnecessary tension among civil servants in Yobe State.
NLC Statement;
However, Tarbutu reassured the public that the NLC has already concluded negotiations with the government on the new minimum wage, and the report has been forwarded to Governor Mai Mala Buni for approval.
The Nigeria Labour Congress Yobe State chairman urged civil servants to remain calm and continue with their normal duties, emphasizing the importance of verifying information through credible sources before sharing.
He reiterated the Nigeria Labour Congress’s commitment to promoting and protecting the rights and interests of Yobe State workers.
