Afrobeats singer Davido Adeleke, known as Davido, touched many hearts with the way he honoured his late son, Ifeanyi, at his white wedding to Chioma, also called Chef Chi, in Miami, Florida. The wedding took place on Sunday, August 10, and was attended by close family and friends.
The white wedding happened a year after Davido and Chioma had their traditional wedding in Lagos. To make the day special, Davido wore diamond and rose gold cufflinks with pictures of Ifeanyi on them. He proudly showed them off on Instagram.
Fans reacted to Davido’s tribute, saying it was a beautiful way to have his son be part of his special day. One comment read: “His spirit is surely smiling and celebrating with them. Wishing you joy, love, and blessings always.”
Ifeanyi was Davido and Chioma’s first child. Sadly, he passed away in 2022 after drowning in a swimming pool at Davido’s home in Lagos. At the time, Davido was not at home. The loss led the couple to take a break from social media. While Davido has returned, Chioma has stayed off Instagram for nearly three years.Ifeanyi’s death shook the nation, and many celebrities, fans, and friends mourned with the family.
