Governor Abiodun of Ogun State has pledged to boost the state’s economy in 2025 through sustainable development plans.
In his New Year address, Governor Abiodun emphasized the importance of unity among the people, urging them to put aside their differences and work together for the state’s progress.
The governor highlighted his administration’s achievements, including road construction, affordable housing, human capital development, and improved healthcare.
He also noted significant progress in transportation, security, education, and energy sectors.
Key Areas of Focus for Governor Abiodun’s Government;
– Energy Sector: The state has passed the Ogun State Electricity Law, allowing it to regulate power generation, transmission, and distribution.
– Economic Development: The administration aims to create a robust and diversified economy capable of navigating current challenges.
– Infrastructure Development: The government plans to achieve greater milestones in infrastructure development and individual prosperity.
Governor Abiodun acknowledged that there is still work to be done, particularly in addressing economic realities, unemployment, and inadequate social amenities.
He reassured the people that his government would remain focused on implementing the ISEYA mantra, which has driven growth in all sectors.
The governor’s 2025 budget proposal, titled “Budget of Hope and Prosperity,” allocates N1.054 trillion to various sectors, with a focus on infrastructure, healthcare, housing, security, education, and youth empowerment.
