The Ogun State Police Command has issued a wanted notice for Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi, widely known in the music industry as “Portable,” following his alleged involvement in a violent assault against officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The announcement was made through a series of posts on the official X account of the Ogun State Police Command on February 17, 2025.
Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, has been a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, particularly known for his street-hop genre and his hit song ‘Zazoo Zeh,’ which brought him into the limelight with features from popular artists like Olamide.
However, his musical career has now taken a controversial turn as he finds himself on the wrong side of the law.
According to the police statement, the incident in question occurred on February 5, 2025, at approximately 10:00 AM in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, within the jurisdiction of the Ota Zonal Office.
During an enforcement exercise, officials TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi were approached by Portable’s father at Odogwu Bar.
When the officials requested the approved building plan, Portable’s father stated that his son was not available.
However, shortly after, Portable, armed with a firearm and accompanied by a gang of nine thugs, launched a violent attack on the unarmed enforcement officers.
The attack resulted in various injuries to the officials, who managed to escape and report the incident to the Ota Area Command.
This led to the arrest of nine accomplices, but Portable himself evaded capture and has since been in hiding.
Despite multiple formal invitations to present himself at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, Portable has ignored these requests without providing any legal justification or representation.
Following his continuous evasion, the Ogun State Police Command secured a valid court order declaring him wanted.

The public has been urged to assist in his apprehension by providing any information that could lead to his arrest.
CSP Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer, emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “Anyone found aiding or harbouring the suspect will face legal consequences.”
The situation has sparked a trend online, with various reactions from the public. Some users have called for Portable to turn himself in, while others have expressed skepticism over the police’s ability to apprehend him.
Portable himself has claimed to be seeking treatment at a psychiatric hospital, which might be part of his defense strategy.
This incident is not Portable’s first brush with the law; he was arrested in 2024 for allegedly refusing to pay a debt related to the purchase of a G-Wagon from a local car dealer.
The increasing frequency of such incidents involving public figures like Portable has raised concerns over the safety of government officials and the impact of celebrity influence on public behavior.
The Ogun State Police Command has encouraged anyone with information regarding Portable’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact them through official channels.
The police’s commitment to upholding law and order remains firm, as they continue their pursuit of Portable to ensure he faces justice for the alleged assault on government officials carrying out their lawful duties.
This case serves as a reminder of the consequences of violent actions against public servants and underscores the importance of legal compliance, regardless of one’s status or fame in society.
