President Bola Tinubu has urged African military forces to unite in the face of growing insecurity and threats to the continent’s unity and stability.
According to sources available to Bsgistnews.com, the President why speaking at the opening ceremony of the second edition of the Africa Military Games (AMGA) in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu emphasized that no single nation can tackle its security challenges alone.
Represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu declared that the collective safety and well-being of African people demand a united front.
“Our collective safety and the well-being of our people demand that we stand together, shoulder to shoulder, as one united Africa,” he said.
The Africa Military Games, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, brought together 1,625 athletes and officials from across Africa.
The event aims to promote military cooperation and unity among African nations through sports.
Tinubu commended the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, and President of the Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, OSMA, Maj.-Gen. Maikano Abdullahi, for their leadership in reviving the event.
The games feature various sporting events, providing an opportunity for military athletes to showcase their physical prowess and the bond that unites the armed forces across Africa.
