The Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has shared his thoughts over the arrest and detention of Simon Ekpa.
He shared this via his X handle; @realFFK on Thursday the 21st day of November, 2024 and the post read thus; “the arrest and detention of one Simon Ekpa by the Finnish authorities for terr*rism-related charges and inciting terr*rism in Nigeria is good news.
Not only is this misguided young man a feral pyscopath, a hate-filled sociopath, a notorious coward and a man of blood but he is also a religious bigot, an unrepentant racist, an ethnic supremacist and an enemy of humanity.
He derived pleasure from k*lling and torturing our people and he waged war on our nation from the safety of Finland.
Many innocent Nigerians were k*lled on his orders and as a consequence of his foul and divisive rhetoric.
I hope this serves as a lesson to others in our nation who believe that division, violence & terr*r are the only way forward and who have no respect for the sanctity of human life”.
Recall that Simon Ekpa, the self- acclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in-Exile (BRGIE) and four others were arrested and remanded earlier on Thursday in Finland over alleged terr*rist -related activities.
The local news report which was published on their website and obtained by Bsgistnews.com stated that the police had said that the main suspect, Simon Ekpa was arrested on suspicion of publicly inciting people to commit crimes with terr*rist intent while the other four were arrested for financing a terrorist crime
The report further stated Simon Ekpa promoted his efforts from Finland through his social media channels that have incited the violence against civilians and authorities as well as other crimes in the Southern-Eastern Region of Nigeria.
The claims against Simon Ekpa and the other four suspects were said to be heard at the Päijät-Häme district court yesterday
