PDP’s (The Peoples Democratic Party) National Working Committee (NWC) has thrown its weight behind Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed’s efforts to strengthen the party.
This show of support came during a condolence visit to the governor, who recently lost his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa.
Led by National Secretary of PDP Udeh Okoye, the NWC emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the party’s goals.
Governor Mohammed’s leadership role in the PDP Governors Forum was highlighted by Ibrahim Yayari, who spoke on behalf of the delegation.
Yayari praised Mohammed’s tireless efforts in strengthening the PDP and ensuring it remains a strong opposition voice in Nigeria.
The National Working Committee members reassured the governor of their commitment to working closely with him and other party stakeholders to advance the Peoples Democratic Party’s mission and contribute to national development.
However, it’s worth noting that the Peoples Democratic Party is currently experiencing internal divisions, with some governors backing Acting National Chairman Iliya Damagum, while others support Governor Mohammed’s efforts to replace him.
Despite these challenges, the Peoples Democratic Party remains committed to unity and collaboration, recognizing the importance of a strong opposition voice in Nigeria’s democracy.
