Alan Shearer, Newcastle United legend has pinpointed Gabriel Jesus as the key player who must rise to the challenge and fill the void left by injured Arsenal star Bukayo Saka.
Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s attacking prowess this season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists in the Premier League.
However, his untimely hamstring injury, sustained during the Gunners’ 5-1 triumph over Crystal Palace, has dealt a significant blow to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Alan Shearer, analyzing the impact of Saka’s injury on Match of the Day, emphasized the importance of Jesus stepping up to mitigate the loss.
“It will be a big loss for Arsenal,” Shearer noted.
“They’ll miss not only Saka’s goals but also his assists, which is why I think it’s crucial for Jesus to take on more responsibility and try to replace him.” Alan Shearer said.
