Tim Sherwood former Premier League player and manager, has made a bold prediction about the ongoing Premier League title race.
According to Sherwood, Arsenal is the only team capable of challenging Liverpool for the top spot.
Speaking to Generation xG, Tim Sherwood expressed his doubts about Manchester City’s ability to defend their title.
“It’s done and dusted in terms of City,” he said.
“It’s difficult to write them off, but you can’t see them going 15 games without losing.”
Sherwood believes that Arsenal, under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, has what it takes to finish above Liverpool and win the Premier League title.
“Anyone who finishes above Liverpool will win the Premier League, and the only team who can possibly do that for me is Arsenal now that Martin Odegaard is back,” he explained.
“They look like they’re on form.”
Arteta has led Arsenal to second-place finishes in the past two seasons, narrowly missing out on the title to Manchester City.
With Odegaard’s return to the team, Arsenal fans are hopeful that this season will be different.
However, only time will tell if the Gunners have what it takes to give Liverpool a run for their money and win the Premier League title.
