A Group of Young Nigerians recently went out on the streets to protest against social media critic Martins Otse, who is popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM). VDM has been speaking a lot about the mysterious death of the late singer Mohbad, and many of his comments have caused arguments online.
Videos from the protest that went viral showed the angry youths carrying placards with messages like “We don’t want VDM” and “We want justice for Mohbad.” The protesters could also be heard shouting again and again, “We don’t want VDM. We want justice for Mohbad,” making it clear that they did not support him.

This protest happened after VDM released several videos and posts where he shared his own views about the issues surrounding Mohbad’s death. His constant involvement has attracted a lot of attention on social media, with some people supporting him while others believe he is only making the situation worse.
Earlier, news reports also mentioned that VDM accused some Nigerian celebrities of trying to block justice for Mohbad. According to him, actress Iyabo Ojo was the one leading a private WhatsApp group where other celebrities like music producer Samklef, Dre DMW (a close associate of Davido), and actor Jigan Baba Oja were included. VDM claimed the group was used to spread false stories about him and also played a role in getting him arrested.
The entire situation has continued to create tension online and offline, as fans of Mohbad still demand full justice for the late singer, while others question VDM’s involvement and his approach to the matter.
