Police operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Borno State in a heroic move have averted a deadly explosion that was set to rock the town.

According to Nahum Daso, the command’s Public Relations Officer, the police received a report from a concerned citizen, Asabe James, about a suspicious sack containing unidentified items behind her house.
The gallant security officers promptly responded, cordoning off the area and recovering the three projectiles.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the ordnance was dropped by unknown individuals early that morning.
To prevent such incidents in the future, the security officers sensitized community members on Explosive Ordnance Risk Awareness (EORE) and safety measures.
