Three Nigerian women

Three Nigerian women, Hadiza Abba, Fatima Malah, and Fatima Gamboi, have been released by Saudi Arabian authorities after spending 10 months in detention for alleged cocaine possession.

The three Nigerian women were arrested on March 5, 2024, at Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Azeez International Airport in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, while on pilgrimage.

The arrest of the three Nigerian women was linked to the earlier detention of two Nigerian nationals found with 150 capsules of cocaine weighing over 1.6 kg.
